Careline
CARELINE specialises in facility furnishings and care aids for the healthcare sector and care homes. In its own manufacturing facilities, CARELINE produces bespoke design and interior concepts as well as certified care products. Through personalised advice and comprehensive service, the company supports care homes in the efficient design and age-appropriate furnishing of care facilities.
What braintec has implemented
CARELINE has replaced seven isolated tools with the all-in-one platform Odoo. All core areas - from CRM, purchasing, and sales to accounting, project management, quality assurance, fleet management, and the entire human resources (absences/leaves) - are now digitized in Odoo ERP. Central dashboards and a knowledge database now form the unified information base of the company.
Optimization of logistics and infrastructure
A technical focus was on the deep integration of shipping logistics. Through a direct DPD connection and the integration of printer hardware via Site-to-Site VPN, the creation of package labels during picking is now fully automated. In addition, the system recognizes the chosen delivery method and independently adds necessary ancillary services such as toll fees or packaging products to the order.
Variant management and flexible procurement
The solution combines the requirements of retail with those of complex manufacturing. While in the "Care" area, automated demand forecasts optimize inventory, in the furniture sector, a variety of options with over three million possibilities is managed through a dynamic master bill of materials (BOM) system. Instead of static data maintenance, Odoo generates the specific manufacturing bills of materials only upon sales confirmation. Additional flexibility is provided by the option to manually trigger procurement processes to manage suppliers and routes on a project-specific basis and to maintain process transparency.
Julius Stein, our project manager, presented the success story of the digitalization of CARELINE at the Odoo Experience 2025 in Belgium. You can watch the talk here:
