What is the QR code on a Swiss invoice?

The Swiss QR Code (in the middle of the payment section) contains all payment-relevant data (IBAN, amount, reference number). It is used to process payments quickly, easily, and error-free by being scanned with the mobile banking app, the e-banking scanner, or a reading device.

What changes will affect me regarding QR invoices starting from November 21, 2025?

From this date, all QR invoices must contain a structured address (address type "S"). Our braintec QR invoice module is already prepared for this, so you do not need to make any system adjustments yourself to remain compliant.

How can I create a QR invoice in Odoo?

With the braintec QR Bill module, you can create QR invoices directly from Odoo. The module adjusts the invoice fields, generates the Swiss QR Code, and prints the payment part in compliance in a PDF. It ensures that all SIX requirements are met.
