Minimax, a global leader in fire protection, has successfully transitioned its subsidiaries from SAP to Odoo, achieving greater efficiency and operational simplicity. This transformation highlights how Odoo’s robust and scalable ERP solution can seamlessly support large enterprises, even alongside SAP. As a special bonus, this talk will explore smooth SAP data migration strategies. With an annual turnover of €1.7bn and a workforce of around 9,000 employees worldwide, Minimax Viking Group operates in diverse industries—from automotive and power plants to logistics and data centers. As a company with multiple research, development, and manufacturing sites, Minimax required an agile yet comprehensive ERP system to manage its subsidiaries outside the SAP group structure. Odoo emerged as the ideal solution, offering seamless integration and scalability to meet complex enterprise needs. In collaboration with braintec, Minimax adopted a structured implementation approach using a carefully curated global template. The rollout followed a strategic progression: integrating individual company processes, incorporating core operations, and finally aligning with diverse market requirements. This method enabled Minimax to fully leverage Odoo’s All-in-One suite as a powerful, standalone solution. Join this session to gain insights into Minimax’s transition journey, key challenges, and best practices for large-scale Odoo implementations—especially for enterprises navigating SAP coexistence and migration. Odoo as a robust and versatile ERP software that caters to the complex needs of large corporations, offering seamless integration and scalability to improve efficiency, was the the best alternative on the market.
